Hi all! Having an issue with balance about 60/40 left/right using minijack (aux), tested different earpnoes, on different devices to compare, only OP5 has this problem.
Is this a software bug, or hardware?
equalizer, mono sound mode dont affect it, it still plays left louder than right.
Anyone else is facing the same problem? mb it has a solution without root?

Sorry, I was thinking about the inverted channels.

I don't know what to do about your observation. Have you tried with different player apps?

PowerAmp. Best media player ever, and that particular shot is from the Beta.

Ill try out, but im pretty sure it works only in the app, not in whole system. (pls correct me if im wrong). Viper can definitly fix it, but the last thing i want to root is a 500$ device ,

Its app only, and what are you talking about? Not rooting a $500 device? Linux servers have the su command and some of them are $50,000. All rooting does is install the "su" command. It should be the first thing you do so that you can do proper data recovery if something goes wrong.

And if you don't want root, you can just unroot after Viper is installed. It doesn't need it to process, just for installation

Thats correct, i meant i didnt expect fixing something so common as a sound ballance with a root, in this price category :(

Ok, i got root, viper, and the correct balance is the first bar. about 15-20 to the right. Oneplus has a huge one minus, imho. Earpnones are expected to work correct out of the box on any device. So check audio balance before u get it, if you can, but i hope im the one so lucky)
And definitly expect it to be fixed in next updates :)

update. Half of sounds dont exist on the right chanel. Compared same sennhisers cx 3.00, one pair to my old meizu, one to op5. right ear from op5, left from meizu, same song. Hi-hats and so on are clearly heard on the meizu right chanel, but dont exist on op5 right channel. both on mono mode. wtf?)

So is this a problem with every OP5?
If find it very hard to notice. Sounds like it could be a little louder on the left, but not sure if this is placebo from thinking about it too much.
If it is, I think I've lost count of the bugs and problems with this device. Its actually quite a long list now... Most common thought since having this phone, well I hope it's at least just software and not hardware. But software or hardware there should not be this many bugs.

unfortunately in my case after comparing bluetooth and aux headphones im sure its not a placebo, cos with all thoughts about it bluetoth sounds strongly correct : ( Il wait couple days, for a feedback from support, or probably community solution, and then try to return the phone to my local shop, cos woth all benifits of op5 music is a 80% phone usage: )
