Will you buy Oneplus phones in the future if your 3t is treated like the 2?

We may create 1000 threads but the fact to live on is OP2 and OPX are purely skipped from strategies on Developers' board.. So just waiting for one official confirmation then will look for custom roms. In future not a oneplus user...

I think yes, because this phone made me happy more than any of previous (Nokia N73 -> Nokia E72 -> LG G2 -> OP3T). Sell 3T, buy next if it worth it.

The 2, was a test pig, for the Oppo Find9, but FAILED due to the 810 chip. Even with the entire frame made into
a heatsink, it over heated. To the point Oppo delayed the Find9 about a month before release.
I don't blame them for killing it off.

Where is that written in stone, that a phone has to be "supported" for two years?
With the speed of new releases, it is NOT the business model for 99.9% of manufacturers, carriers, retail to "keep"
phones up to date. Plus, with the global trend of throw-it-away-buy-new ever 9-12 months, the amount of time
required to port new OS features in an older design is not cost effective.

I read an article on google today, where they are working into Android O, "project treble" which would make it
easier for GOOGLE to push the core OS out to the phone without wrecking the phone because the UI/firmware/hardware cannot support it. It would leave all but the core OS to the manufacturer/carrier to update
    the rest of it.

Official roms and custom roms are two different things. I am referring to updates on official roms, namely oxygenos on the 3t or 3.

But for OPO it was CYNGN, Backed by Cyanogenmod, now Known as LineageOS.

Remember, the users being used as beta testers (I m not talking about the open beta program) but the OS itself. So you are not paying less for their less but you them extra through your free testing to build their OS for their future products.
Leave Apple (as provide with updates),In Samsung's case at least they provide a bug free experience (ignore the lag) but take the reliability into consideration.
if OnePlus provide bug free (meant reliability) OS,then there's something we can consider. But right from day 1 their update screw up something or the other necessary features like nfc, Bluetooth, wifi etc to make things worse. In such case a user would and will expect a update till it becomes stable.
Good Luck OnePlus, you are too young to ignore mistakes.
Learns things soon to remain in the market.Price of the product and the company's size are the two excuses,if price is taken out of equation then R.I.P OnePlus

One plus is a small company compared to Google and even Google messes up support for their old devices. My 2014 Nexus 6 did not get the promised nougat 7.1.1. No explanation or apology. To ***** about a small scale operations peaks volume about you and not about one plus.

If you all are unhappy about one plus stop buying it and have a great day.

I would definitely. I find it extremely amusing when people make it sound like they've been abused just because they didn't get a software update. It's not like it's the end of the world. You definitely got your money's worth on the hardware alone and the fact that OnePlus makes one of the smoothest Android phones for half the price of others is pretty damn impressive.

I would really ask all my mates to not buy oneplus ever... no matter how well they make device, but if there is no support for min. 3 years its total waste. Not everyone can root their device!!!!
