Will you buy Oneplus phones in the future if your 3t is treated like the 2?

This is a pretty crucial question, but will any of you 3t owners buy a future Oneplus product if support for the 3t is treated like the 2?

I'd like to know. I certainly hope they don't treat us like crap in the future. I personally wouldn't buy another Oneplus device if they did this. Companies that don't live up to their morals don't deserve any support in my book.

Wait and see, the support they provide to 3t after 5 is released. If they treat it like 2, then 5 will become 2 after 6 is out in one year

Well, they already did treat everyone with the OP2 and OPX like crap, so they already failed to live to the standards they said they'd respect. And no, they do not deserve respect.

Maybe with OP3/3T things will go differently (I believe they will, honestly). But that doesn't really change who they are or what they've done in the past. They could at least try to even things out with past customers, but do you even see them trying? No, they're too busy hiring models and shit for their marketing-fu.
Believe me, if they're ever again in the same position as they were back then, I guarantee you it'll happen again: they'll have no trouble ignoring every single OP3/3T user in the world, just to get back up again.

Also, in case you haven't noticed: they're offloading testing to their very clients. You guys may see it as a great opportunity to test the latest and greatest software, but it's really a money-saving technique -- it prevents them from spending money on testers. They're just very good at marketing (fooling people).

What a great insight! I agree.

A mistake can be healed, but keeping it leads to a down traction.

I got Beta 6 and everything has been great, but I have the nagging feeling that this is just testing for the Oneplus 5. Who knows what will happen to Beta once the 5 comes out.

Hiring models and stuff has also lead to their phones increasing in price year by year. I won't be too shocked if the Oneplus 5 costs at least 500 dollars. If they can spend millions of dollars on stupid ads, I'm sure they can spend a tenth of that money to expand developers.

    No thanks.

My fifth gen iPod Touch got 5 years of software support. Oneplus can barely offer one year. My next phone will be an iPhone.

Only a fool would trust this company now.

I can see why they are burning their bridges with the 2 and the X, but the complete lack of communication shows their true colours.

Now if they came out and said "hey, we messed up with those phones so we dropped them like a bad habit, but we will continue to support the 3/3T", then maybe, just maybe a little faith could be restored.

But, it's a bloody big if in my opinion.

Nope! I would also start recommending others not to buy them. Same if they stray too far away from stock Android, because that's the biggest reason OEMs take so long to release updates, their huge bloated skins.

i thought it's about hardware not about names, if you go for names you're in for either unpleasant surprises or will miss a lot in life. iphone owners are the best example for this but the world is full of it. nokia as we know it is dead and what they come/came up with recently i nowhere close to be innovative or top notch, further nokia is the biggest fail of the last 10 years in many aspects, hight of free fall as well as letting their community in the void.

and to make this clear, my last nokia phone was an N8, and i had them all, communicators and 3310, the banana and all the others. nothing agains the past era's achievments, but the fuc..ed up big time, that's a fact.
