I had a OP3 before and I remenmber that one of the updates that got out was to increase storage speed through use of different storage than ext4.

So why is OP5T now again on ext4?

Why asking now and not when OP 5 was released? They are similar so logically they use the same ext4 solution.

So, why your question was not in June?

I did not asked this question before because I previously owned a OP3 and only purchased OP5T now.

So I had no idea OP5T was also ext4!

Ext4 is more stable file system than f2fs... I know f2fs is faster but it comes with cost of unstability.. That why i think oneplus choose safest route even they introduced f2fs with 3/t.

I had f2fs in OP3 since O+ introduced it and I had never suffer any problem, more the system was faster!

So I would like to have a real statement from the developers on why abandoning f2fs!

F2fs is definitely faster than Ext4.

OP3 Oreo is the fastest device from OnePlus range. Followed by OP3 t and OP5 next to him. All of them running Oreo.

OP5 t is a slow luggish bastard. For the moment with Android 7

If you think 5t is slow I'm afraid it's the only logical reason I can think of.

This is a serious discussion my friends, and yes OP3 f2fs is faster than OP5T ext4!

This is for sure noticed running apps and installing them.

Please do not take this as saying one device is faster than other, this only relates to speed of read/write to and from storage.

You can only compare if you really see a OP3 f2fs vs any other on ext4.

But main question is why implemented on OP3 and not on OP5T? The builds of Oxygen suposly should be unified!
