[Verifying] Wakelock after using Bluetooth devices

  1. il_Capitano_25_ Cupcake Dec 22, 2017

    il_Capitano_25_, Dec 22, 2017 :
Is it possible that the problem has something to do with dual Bluetooth connection? After all, not so many seem to have a problem with Bluetooth wakelocks and I don’t believe that only a few people use bluetooth. For my I have no problems with the SmartWatch 3 alone. I only have this wakelocks when I also connect the SmartBand at night or a Bluetooth speaker or headphones. Therefore my consideration is that it may be due to the double Bluetooth connection. Maybe most of the people here use a fitness tracker or SmartWatch???

This makes sense. Im using a mi band 2 and it starts draining for me whenever i connect to something else as well. Just, not everytime. Couldnt pinpoint the trigger. I reverted

Okay prefect. I'm staying with beta for now. Waiting for your feedback. This need to be fixed soon. Make the software quite unusable.

It's sure too early to say something definitive, but the release build looks pro.ising so far.
I'm now using the phone for 9 hours since the update and 100% charge, having bluetooth activated and paired with 24hrs sync with my fitbit, and also with the radio in my car. Now i have 76% left. 86 min screen on time during those 9 hours.

No 100% active phase in the battery stats so far.

i'm curious to see how the phone does the next few days. i'll report to you guys.

Honestly I can't believe that this bug is already been fixed after that a short time (since sending the logs). Would be a surprise. Hope this is will be fixed in the next beta update (next week?!?).

As promising as it looked on the forst battery cycle as bad it does now.
Yesterday, i've dash charged the mobile a bit in my car, and now Android System and System Standby are the top battery consumers again. And the active-bar shows a wakelock again:

I really don't understand what triggers this behavior. It didn't happen on my phone running 8.0 stable yet, but I'm thinking about reverting to nougat since I'm going on a trip tomorrow. Kinda need a phone I can trust.

It is normal that beta versions are buggy. But it is sad to see that this huge one got the cut to be in the final version. Unbelievable but sadly expected.

By the way, did you send the logs to oneplus? I'm reverting to nougat as we speak. I really need a reliable phone when going abroad.

Anything new here? Will this wake lock issue be fixed in the next beta update? Reverting back to official release isn't the solution because of the Christmas present...

Actually it looks like it is already fixed in the official Oreo release. I've cleaned the cache and stopped the logging and now I don't have a wakelock and the battery life is pretty good 5-7 hours of screen on time.
