Vibration discrimination

I get that, I was merely trying to understand what you don't exactly like of the vibration on those situations.

I guess it might be something that the dev team didn't felt the users would need that. So probably the best thing to do is pass that feedback to the dev team, and they might consider implementing that possibility. :)

Just use the feedback form from the latest op3 ota thread.

Well, then, this is really a bad overall OS design... :(
I can understand the 'app by app' settings...but, seriously, a 'master' switch won't hurt.
About user perception and 'likes', it's just a matter of proper education. The real problem is all the marketing BS that is spreaded about fancy features you can do or imagine... ignoring or hiding the reality of tech.

That is what I was using till recently. I had Resurrection Remix ROM with ElementalX and by using EX Kernel Manager I lowered intensity to 0. I was soo happy. Then I decided to go back to stock for better security and stability.

And the little price your paying for better security and stability for now is this vibration.
    Right.

But how do all this hate will aid in resolving the vibration issue.
Well may be a bit of compromise with security and stability would help you again.

You can use kernel adiutor app (with root) to set this parameter. Pretty sure stock kernel supports it, tested on blu spark kernel and verified.

Your system is already unlocked, so might as well root so you can have proper backups, pass SafetyNet (if you use Magisk), subs, viper, etc. Freedom will let you pick and choose what to install.

Thanks. I used Magisk to acquire root, then I used app called VibraFix to disable vibration. For unknown reasons vibration intensity is unavailable in Kernel Auditor. This is nice temporary solution.

Nice find! I didn't know that. Unfortunately battery saver has many disadvantages and cannot be enabled all the time.

But this proves that vibration could be disabled without any disastrous side effects for system and apps. This also mean that required code is already in place. Now we only need toggle switch tucked maybe in advanced settings and voilà!

and you do use fingerprint reader and NFC?
if you take security serious, you will not use fingerprints at all (very simple and easy to copy and fake) or NFC.

What? Whats wrong with NFC? You do know it's encrypted with a range of about an inch? LOL. I want you to bypass my fingerprint lock. Please try!

The only vibrations my phone makes is when it unlocks and when camera turns on. Just yesterday that saved my butt. I put the phone in my pocket and accidently did something. I had activated the camera. Luckily the vibration let me know something was amiss because I wasn't looking the screen.

Camera in your pocket could really burn up your battery! I'll keep those last vibrations on.

ok, sure, as every other, get a object you touched like your mobile, get the print and use it. search for it, it is easy as hell.
and with this I can use your NFC function. too bad, you lost.

Dude. You think someone is going to walk around dusting my phone for prints to fool the scanner? LOL. They can take the credit card out of my wallet too. My back pocket has pretty poor encryption.
