"TWRP has detected an unmodified partition. TWRP can leave your partition unmodified to make it easier for you to take official updates. TWRP will be unable to prevent the stock ROM from replacing from replacing TWRP and will not offer to root your device. installing zips or performing adb operations may still modify the system partition.

Never show this screen during boot again."

This is what it says......screen capture aren't appearing in the gallery??

Is this abnormal.......do I need to clean wipe my phone?

Screen captures of TWRP wont show in Gallery??

Do you recommend a deep clean?

    Thanks.

I believe, it is saying if you leave the partition unmodified you will be able to use otas but when you update via ota twrp will be replaced with stock recovery

I am still using the TWRP 2.8.6.1 and i have all what i need. So i didn't tried the last TWRP. I suggest you to go back too. I don't think that there is a critical difference between the versions to force you install the 2.8.7

In ES Fileexplorer manager I see screen captures in SD which are empty, even after a complete wipe and clean install.......initially while doing a factory reset or after wipe and before flash see some red errors about SD card??

Would gaster's deep wipe tutorial help?

    Thanks.

Maybe a factory data reset should be done, sounds like you have other issues, but I am not sure

Is that the cos or hydrogen?

Is a new option, it show only if is the first time you flash a modified recovery on your device and the system partition is still untouched. For the first time leave it unmodified and perform a nadroid backup, then reboot TWRP, now you can modify the system partition and enjoy flashing all you whant!!! And if an official OTA come out and you whant to install it... restore the backup and OTAupdate it!

    -From official changelog:

    System read only option:

Devices that ship with 5.0 and higher as their initial OS are using block level OTA updates. With this style of OTA update, the update script checks to see if the system partition has ever been mounted read/write. Further, the script also usually runs an SHA sum of the entire system partition to detect if any changes have been made. If any changes have been made, the OTA update will refuse to install. Since not all OEMs and devices have factory images available, we have created a new feature in TWRP that detects if the system partition has ever been mounted read/write. If not, you will be prompted asking if you want TWRP to mount system as read/write. If you choose not to allow TWRP to mount as read/write, TWRP won’t prompt to install SuperSU and TWRP won’t try to patch the stock ROM to prevent TWRP from being replaced by stock recovery. The goal of this option is to hopefully allow the user to make a raw system image backup that they can use to get back to a state where they can take OTA updates again.
