And also Android has a playstore full of apps that can be downloaded so developers can use their time in things more important than some settings in a launcher or an app that 98% of the ppl don't will use.

Oh they do work on more important things, not just the launcher. I don't know whether you have used the beta builds or not but the last Nougat beta had a new boot animation which many didn't like and so those who didn't like it expressed it in Feedback. Hence it was reverted back to the old one on the next beta build which was oreo. You see this is a Democracy. So you can very well express your suggestions but do it the right way. If there's demand there will be supply.

yes. you are right in logic. but wrong in the quoted statistics.

it is a practical problem to maintain a feature rich product, especially when that isn't your core business.

Ppl demand OnePlus to be near stock Android but then you want pointless bloatware that can easily be obtained in the playstore, where you can choose and Uninstall freely.
Development costs time and money, and that will be reflected in the price product.
    I don't need a compass
    I don't need a level
I don't need more settings in my launcher
I don't need more filters in my camera app
    And I can go on
So why I should pay for the development of things that I no need?
You can get all the features that you need (sometimes for free) with the apps in the store.

OnePlus Launcher is currently published on Play Store and hence it can be developed independently from Android updates. This is very good to introduce new features and fixes.

However, declaratively demanding OnePlus to be similar to Lawnchair is a terrible waste. You should be asking for the functionalities that may make the existing launcher a better one instead of feature flooding it to a bloat. The focus should be on the experience, not the feature set.

people think or tend to believe (although not entirely incorrect) that stock apps are best optimised for performance and more secure, reliable. it is a belief.

while this is true (to an extent) people also have a habit of thinking that everything in the play store should just come built-in from the start so...lol we can't win

and when they do provide something like that, for example Razor giving Nova Prime as default launcher, people will ask why not make something original. :)

Actually not always true, some times over dose of features make things kinda weird. Most of times simple, minimal & stable is better.

It or for that matter any apps can't be perfect like that, such apps would be lost in mediocrity.

For some very popular & hit apps feature rich design is their selling point & For some popular & hit apps a minimalistic feature design will do the trick.

U can't pick best of everything & make bestest app as best is valid adjective not bestest.

Maybe OnePlus should invest in the camera app as many people request (maybe I would say demand) instead of the launcher. Just something to think about.
