I don't want more features, you want them, go to play store and get another launcher, install a custom rom or whatever.

    Simple as that.

not everyone's good is same. and due to beauty of Android, everybody can get everything they want. so if any application is not completing your list of good you always can download some other or more advanced development. as it comes down to personal preference.

No, if you want features, download a launcher.

We want it simple and stock, we don't want to waste our time to disable the features (it's more like not using them not disabling the features)

There are no features that I have thought that oneplus launcher should have extra to these which it already has

You, sir, said that oneplus should use a 3rd party application as the launcher. You may have thought the other thing but it came across like I just told.

But why won't you install a custom launcher instead?

I'm not so sure you like the default launcher since you want OnePlus to change it. If ain't broken don't try to fix it.

OK, I'm with you. I want it to have Nova launcher features. Not the one you posted. Now which one they have to pick?

So, let me see if I get this straight:

Because you don't want to spend 30 seconds installing a custom launcher, OnePlus has to spend hours developing, testing and making sure new features work, even though you could just download an app for that?

i dont want to install an app , i want oneplus app to be as good as the others , and yeah why not to spend hours for improving their product , there are tough competitors in smartphones market , if they want to be the best they need to work .

You want new features then use the feedback system to suggest the features you want. Then the devs will weigh the the demand for that feature and try to implement it. Not everyone wants crazy levels of customizations in the stock launcher. That's why in android we have the freedom to change default launcher. It's not like oneplus is blocking 3rd party launchers in our devices. Everyone bought the phone just like u did and humans have different tastes. So my point is, not everyone agrees with you but you can definitely use the feedback system to suggest the features you want instead of creating a new thread saying oneplus should do this because you bought their product.

    I agree with Mohamad here.

his logic is simple and correct. make all features available and as an option for you to enable the ones you need. this is true from user point of view.

all those of you opposing it are thinking of it from maintenance point of view. more features means breaking something when releasing an update. so you are right from development and maintenance point of view.

this is more like an Aroma installer thing. you install what you want. in this case, you activate the feature you want. let there be two modes - basic and advanced. in basic mode, it will have current features. in advanced mode, it will open up a lot more configurations.

if it was possible to have something like that which has no additional effort in maintaining, and which has no implications on performance and battery life, who wouldn't want it? isn't this one area where Android excels over iOS? Android provides you with more customization options.
