No, not at all. It can probably withstand some splashes here and there but if it were to be dropped in a bucket of water, you are utterly screwed. The phone is not advertised as waterproof, nor is it actually waterproof.

It's not. you might get lucky if it doesn't get damaged by water, but again, it's not waterproof. You can YouTube waterproof test for the 3T and see what happens.

I don't recommend you testing yours unless you want to risk spending another $400+.

There is nothing called water proof. All phones that claim it are just highly water resistant. Please bear that in mind before using a phone in places where in can come in contact with water.

Having said that OP3/3T is not water resistant. It might be able to take a few splashes but don't bank on it.

THe OP3/3T is not water proof, neither is it certified for Dust, or liquid ingress
Certified Water resistant devices are given an IP value, a waterproof phone will generally be IP 68 and above, heres a quick guide as to what the IP numbers mean, at a guess i would say the OP3t is IP53 or IP52 which is no way near watertight.

you can secure op3 little with putting tape across sim-tray. the hole where you remove tray is straight contact to motherboard so if you cover it with tape, it gives you little security from water damage. But remember, it still isn't waterproof

You think the use of a faster processor and a better camera module improves the water resistance? C'mon wake up!
The missing of any information regarding water resistance on the website of one plus is a good indicator for the missing of water resistance of the device! Don't you think too?
They also don't say, it can be dropped from 10000 feet with no damage... But wait - let's make a YouTube video and test it! Stupido!

    Cheers
