Question on Video quality selection - 5t

I'm confused why OnePlus 5t doesn't support 1440p video quality selection while watching videos in YouTube while my good old iPhone 6s supports it. Any thoughts?

    Why???
Do you know the resolution of your screen???
So why you wanna play videos exceeding that???

I guess you got the answer...

Like most replies on this forum, this guy is making no sense ^^^

I never noticed you can't go to 1440p in YT. I never really bothered to change the quality since it looks great at 720 or 1080.
I'm guessing it's either a 5T software issue or a YT app thing with the 18:9 screen.
Have you tried going into Compatibility mode(I think that's what it's called).

    Really...
That's the software capping due to hardware limitations...

1440p video looks better than 1080p video in a 1080p screen. It's a fact. Because there's not only resolution in video but mbps too. In 1440p the mbps is higher so as I said it will looks better even if your screen is only 1080p...

he is right, BUT you probably won't notice the difference on a 6" screen.
