Yup. That poster hasn't even realised why people use the priority contact system, I think. Face...palm.

In that scenario you'd have to put it in Silent mode and it vibrate for all contacts.

How dense are you? Still not getting it...

Starred contacts *only*. I.e., the whole point of the new notification system introduced by Google a while ago.

Ok, so press 'Messages' and 'Calls' and change from 'None' to 'From starred contacts only'.....

Easy peasy. Only preferred contacts that are starred in your contacts app will come through the DND mode :)

I acknowledged that the scenario you mentioned wasn't possible and you'd have to put it in Silent mode but as you said would be for all...

And as I orginally said then all OP has to do is add vibration to DND mode also, then all will be ok.

This is really going around in circles. Here's a tip: When "helping" others, take a second to think that actually you may not have understood their use case. Preferred contacts coming through in DND by making noise is a disturbance for many people.

Agree it's over the top. I'd happily do a poll or some other method to get OnePlus's attention.

Well, no: you didn't acknowledge, you actually said silent mode would work in "that scenario", where the scenario described was wanting vibrations for starred contacts only.

Also, "all OP has to do..." -- yeah, that's the whole point of this thread. (As well as adding vibration to Ring mode too, so that users get a genuinely silent mode when they need it.)

Ok I'll let you lot get on with your OTT change.org petition...

The feature. 4.0.1 doesn't allow vibrate only on DND or Ring mode. Same problem as the 3.5.x builds and 4.0.

"Jeez", as I mentioned earlier, that's not the solution. Some people want only vibrations on their device. If you'd bothered to read any of the many posts explaining this, you'd stop offering your "solution"...

Enabling vibrating in Ring mode doesn't allow the mode to be silent (below 14%).

This is a very simple concept which you seem incapable of grasping. At first I thought it was ignorance, but it now seems to be wilful.

    Haha...

Good luck... OP have put the slider to proper use now.

    End of.

End of, my arse. They'll have to go back on this change because it's broken Android Wear. Simply: they've fundamentally altered the priority contacts system. That was introduced with certain use cases in mind, by Google. Now many people can't use the priority contact system as they desire (e.g., in the workplace), and the priority slider is actually less useful for them.
