Both terminals is insignificant differences, the hardware is in 99% the same. Oneplus 5 have five months age old, the Oxygen OOS changes, improvements and tweeks should come both terminals.

    1. Because OP5 hardware supports it, so why not?
    2. Because face unlock is faster.
    3. I have a skin condition that affects my palms and fingers, so i have to be careful when using fingeprints to avoid having to retry multiple times, and also when i use medication cream (which is often) it's not possible to use fingerprints.
    4. Lastly i repeat: Because OP5 hardware supports it, so why not? (my answer is that OP is greedy, and i'm not willing to put up with that).

If the company does not want to lose its reputation, it should also make us unlock it.

Since the leaked beta wasn't supposed to leak YET, I guess it's a little further in development stage than this beta, but not that stable. I know it works well, but has some bugs (Google Duo video calling through bluetooth earphones not working for example). So they didn't include Face Unlock in this official beta, because it's not super stable yet. Some people reported it sometimes works, other times doesn't. So it will be included later when it's ready to be released the official way.

Since face unlock is present in leaked build it simply means that there is no hardware limitation and that OnePlus is lying to us.Now in the official open beta build they removed it completely. This shows how loyal these guys are to their users.

First of all thank you OnePlus for this quick update. I want to clear few doubts that I have regarding Beta program. I am currently on 4.5.14.
    1) There is one option called "local update" in System Updates. Is it same as the above-mentioned process of flashing via recovery?
    2) What is dirty flash?
    3) If I opt for the beta program, after few beta releases when the final OTA update will arrive for everyone will I still be in the beta channel?
    4) also any chance of data loss.

I was on leaked beta and face unlock worked 100% of the time, even in low light. I hope you're right and they do bring face unlock back in beta 2, i will then eat my hat, but until they do i will stay on leaked beta, if they don't then it's goodbye to OP from me (already submitted my thoughts in form linked in post #1).
