Basically i have used the stable build now, and i can it's stable. There is an issue of app crashing which is caused because of installation of some app. Like for example in my case it was Chrome latest version. It resulted in crashing of many apps. After i uninstalled the latest version the apps started working perfectly. Thought i contacted oneplus, they didn't really solve my problem, but they said it can happen.

i thought so initially. i let a cache build up and cleaned but it defaults to 4.1kb and not 0. after the factory reset it goes completely to 0 and then builds up. after a few hours the 4.1kb creeps up again. and yes, battery drains out so much more quickly than ever before.

i tried this same Chrome 63 version on my Oneplus 5 stable version, same apps were crashing. So the OxygenOs 5.0 is stable and no issues faced so far.

Well tbh, I think it's not the Ram nor the cached date that's draining your battery, but some apps you are using.

It uses whatever it thinks is suitable and present. With less RAM, you wouldn't be able to have as many apps open. That's the difference. Android should be well capable of taking care of you RAM management.

    Who me?

I don't have any issues, so why should I bother doing a factory reset?

I updated two OnePlus3 to this update and both have not a single problem after ~2 weeks of usage.
My wife and me use it daily and did not see and problems, performance degradation, not one single crash and so on.
The only thing i did after the upgrade was to wipe the cache.
