I still have 4.5.15 since it come out and no problems. Maybe you can upgrade also to this version instead of Oreo. [e]1f60a[/e]

If I didn't know the behaviour of some people in this forum I would say that you provided a clear and helpful information. But since nobody reads it carefully and think this is a chat group your information will be lost in the thousands of useless messages.

The biggest issue IMO, is the update mongering without people understanding what an update is or what it brings to the phone (new additions) or even know how phones fucntion for that matter.

I mean, half the people don't even know what Oreo would bring to the ecosystem or how to spell it for that matter.
    They're still unbelievably desperate.

oneplus 5 oreo update canceled, why?
Ive readthat the official oreo update for op5 was canceled because of an bug but i havnt found what the bug is and how it affects me as an op5 user..

I have already updated to Oreo on my op5 and havnt noticed any bugs yet so I'd like to know what and when it shows up.

I guess it is because a lot of people with unlocked bootloader had softbricked devices and lost all data...

Maybe that's the problem... I received the OTA, the installation was very fast, wiped the cache on recovery and everything went fine... I think I'm a lucky person...

all fine here too because my bootloader is locked, no custom recovery (TWRP), no root.

people got a notification quite late in update schedule to lock the bootloader first after backing up important data and before they install the Oreo Update - to late for a lot of people until they added the info, but like always: people don't read anything anyway - a warning/info is almost useless in the description.

sad all the Oreo screamer here can keep all data while other lost everything because they have been the first people who got the update... life isn't always fair, but I hope some of the Oreo screamer now know they might be lucky people in the end.
