Camera Oneplus needs to fix Camera 2 API RAW pictures !!!

  1. txx1219 Eclair Dec 30, 2017

    txx1219, Dec 30, 2017 :
Before Oxygen OS 5.0, all RAW pictures taken with a third-party camera app (who use Camera 2 API) had a dotted pattern who makes pictures unusable.

With the new Oxygen OS 5.0, RAW pictures taken with a third-party camera app (Camera 2 API) are dark and greenish. Could you please make the RAW pictures taken with Camera 2 API be usable and perfect like RAW pictures taken with Oneplus Camera app ? Which means without be greenish and without dots pattern ?

I am using a version which has nearly no dots. Even not on faces while zooming on the PC. Only on very very bright areas , like at a sunny day in the sky.

And trust me, ive tested a lot of them

this version does not exist yet, it does not work with HDR +, in normal HDR it is possible without points, but there is no sense, we need a good HDR + as on Google Pixel 2 Mod, so that photos at night would be good, even without optical stabilization in our case

Sure, let me find it and i will post the link. And yes, hdr+ was forced with nexus 6 hdr+/super high settings.

Re-read my statement. I have no dots on surfaces like faces/food etc. while using forced hdr+. I am aware of the algorithm and how to force it. Dots only appear on very bright surfaces which equals pointing the camera to the sun in my scenario. White Balance is not perfect but i will some pictures and the version of it when i found it.

white balance is not perfect because of the dots. If you compare at the borders (where there is no dots) and the zone where dots appears, you will see a difference.

I am referring to the colour of faces, paintings etc. It looks more unreal than in real-life or even via OOS stock cam. But yes, existing borders (maybe a problem of the resulting picture seize?) may be a hint for the wrong implementation of Camera 2API. Let's see how they will solve this problem.

no no, the dots affects the color because when HDR+ process the picture, dots mess up the tone in general. You can see in borders where dots are not present the color are more real than in the zone where dots appears.
