My phone is still running on stock 3.6.0 and I am planning to flash the 20171006 nightly. Should I downgrade to 3.1.0 before that? I have read some old posts which said that this is necessary for a stable phone, but things might have moved on since then.
Thanks in advance for your help

Hey guys. I am really tired of all the freezes and reboots. I am using all the time the newest official version and it doesn't get better. Could another kernel fix it? And which should I take (with link please)? I have never done it before. What is the procedure? Download, starting TWRP, installing, reboot? Do I loose data? Thanks in advance!

well I prefer Boeffla Kernel it's the best for me.

just download Boeffla Beta 13 than go to Recovery and flash it. that's it. no data lose or other things.

Yes, I keep unsu zip from osm0sis just in case as well.

I'd use the latest due to security patches and bugs fixes. That's why I keep the unsu zip handy, for issues when there's a bootloop.
