driverdis, May 19, 2017 : What I would like: Widevine L1, especially if the phone will cost more. Most of the flagships from the last 3 years do Widevine L1 and the recent ones are on Netflix's HD approved list. Newer ones can even do HDR and 4K depending on the phone. OnePlus has a flagship killer that only streams in SD on Netflix, HULU, Amazon, and VUDU. So far FUNimation, Crunchyroll/VRV, and Animelab can do HD on OnePlus devices but that is due to the fact that they do not use Widevine and eventually that will probably change. DRM is evil but for people who prefer legal streaming options, it is the only way to stream HD when Widevine is involved. Having L1 will not limit custom ROMs or unlocking the bootloader, it will just set Widevine to L3 when custom ROMs are used like the Nexus 7 2013 tablet and Nexus phones.
