One thing's for certain: it'll be cheaper than an S8 or upcoming iPhone. We just don't know by how much. If it's indeed $600, I may go with an LG G6. I believe they've fixed the bootloop problem because my V20 didn't do it once and this was November of last year.

This looks like the most legit leak so far concerning the hardware. The bottom firing speakers remind me of the ones on the OnePlus One. It looks iPhone ish, but I personally like how the iPhone 7/Plus looks.

Personally for me the iPhone design language is the most boring and lifeless which has been going quite for some time.. and if rumours are to be believed next iPhone design is going be a game changer and on other side of the world we have OnePlus copying the same boring design if the leaks are true....

Why does OnePlus have to be so iphonish when they itself are a name to reckon....

Now it remains of what will become of the camera and software which is where OnePlus should copy iPhone rather..

As far as I know on 2 and 3/3T it was at bottom which I guess it's better because when you put phone into pocket with "head" down cable is not "damaged" but when jack is at the top then you need to put phone into pocket with bottom and when you are taking it from pocket you need to switch it in hand .. Do you know what I mean?

Bingo. Carl and Pete both admitted their infatuation with the iPhone. I simply don't get how you go from the design of the OPO to what you have now. It's simple regression. Even Apple is dropping the front panel finger reader. I won't even spend $100 on a copycat device.

Ya I agree with you that two designs are going around but certain things are pretty much clear.

    1. no headphone jack on the bottom giving way to two speakers
    2. dual rear camera.
    3. overall design factor seems smaller to op3/3t so maybe greater screen to body ratio.
    4. front fingerprint scanner..

I understand where you're coming from. To each his own. There are at least 2 phones in the industry that looks alike. I'm not a die hard Android enthusiast (not hinting you are) so it's not a big deal to me if it resembles the iPhone. I used to have a matte black iPhone 7 Plus and it was great for me

I honestly don't understand how water proofing is getting the most votes... many limitations come with waterproofing, it's expensive, and a smartphone isn't meant to be used underwater...

It's not that we want it to be used underwater, it is more that some people have to walk in the rain... or like my sibling, accidentally drop their phone in the toilet (EW!:mask:)

Waterproofing would allow for better use in the rain (photographers? people who work outside?) and in dusty or damp conditions and it also extends the lifetime of the phone (spillproof, dustproof, rainproof, that-can-of-soda-in-the-bottom-of-your-bag-proof). It is pretty useful in the long-term if you want to keep the phone for a long time and not just buy the next one whenever it comes out.

Carl did a poll on if headphone jacks are still useful on twitter, I believe around 85% said yes (correct me if I'm wrong) so I doubt they'd remove it.

That's reassuring, I really hope they don't remove the headphone jack.

If I'm not mistaken, every OnePlus device has the headphone jack at the top excluding the OnePlus 3/3T.
