Try starting your phone and leaving it to drain down , after this you could look at the battery area in settings and see what apps are using up your battery.

@gubro: rather than writing something witty, do lemme know if I u have a solution...

    fyi others:
    Tried wipe cache from boot
Disabled Google apps from scanning data
    Advanced optimisation/restrictions enabled
    Location History off
    Display set to bare minimum

Still battery drains like a smug..

You should not leave the phone on the charger!! I had my phone for 2 months and my battery still lasts up to 2 full days. Don't leave it in over night it really shortens the battery life since it's quick charging and is basically full after an hour and a half.

Well, that is just nonsense or oneplus is worst phone in the world in that regard. Phone should know when it is full charged and stop charging to prevent overcharging. Every single smartphone out there works like that.

I have been using OnePlus 5 for a week now..for the first 3 days ,I was able able to use it for 15 plus hours with one full charge..with the same apps I am now able to use it only around 8 hours for full charge..what could be the issue..the phone is just a week old.

There might be memory leak which is causing your battery to drain, even my phone is a week old I'm getting 7+ hours of screen on time and 22-24 hours of total usage, try rebooting your device after every full charge!

No, I think you're the only one. If it was common, these forums would be flooded with people saying the same thing. Huh, weird.

but this forum was indeed flooded with poor battery "backup" after update threads each and every day.. you didnt see too many of them because the forum admins did a good job to either merge them with the big battery thread or simply castrated them (the threads i mean), of which i prefer the latter approach more..
