A day worth charge in 5 minutes makes good sense and dash charge does it pretty neat and clean. So why do we need wireless charging. Technology point of view it's worth trying for innovation but doesn't make sense to buy a wireless charger when you have a beast dash charger and both doing the same thing and specially the dash charger for sure will do it is pretty well and efficiently. The dash charger will beat the wireless charger at any point in future because they both have a whole different medium of charging. Dash charge rocks.

Hlo one plus.... We would be glad if you can come up with wireless charging with the new op6. I appreciate the dash charger which you took earlier. It was amazing charging compared to other brands. So thumbs-up for the wire less charging technology [e]270c[/e]️

The wireless charging is interesting technology, but it is not important for nowadays. I don't like the glass back smartphones for install induction coil to use wireless charging. I prefer to use with metal body. If in the future the wireless charging technology work in metal body smartphones, it will be fantastic. But now it isn't so important. It's my opinion.

I rather have phone with a good battery life that last me the whole day and then some plus a fast charger such as dash. don't see a need for wireless charging.

This wireless charging capability is already built into the Qualcomm processors.

Reportedly, there is very little time difference between the Qualcomm charging time and OnePlus's "Dash Charging" time.

I'm all for wireless charging. I believe charging at a low amp rate is better for the battery. Since my phone never leaves me, it would be nice to lay it on a charging pad on the night stand by the bed. That way I'm automatically at 100% to start my day.

I can assure you Galaxy Note 4 with 3.1 fast charge never went from 10% to 100% in 1 hour like the Dash charging does.

Do you think it's fair to compare a 3+ year old Samsung Note 4 with a Qualcomm 805 to the OnePlus 5/5T (or any phone) with a Qualcomm 835 ?

The Qualcomm 805 utilized "QuickCharge v2.0" which was 20% faster than v1.0
The Qualcomm 820 utilized "QuickCharge v3.0" which was 20% faster than v2.0
The Qualcomm 835 utilized "QuickCharge v4.0" which was 20% faster than v3.0
...and the (current) 835's utilize Quick Charge v4Plus, which can give a 5 hour charge, in 5 minutes.

I had a Nexus 5 and it had wireless charging. I never used it because it would charge so slow. Ive been using the 5t for a few weeks now and really enjoy dash charge. Exactly like they say in 30mins and I'm good to go for battery life. Wired charging at this fast pace while using the device is great, unlike others where it won't charge as fast when in use.

I had wireless charging capability on my old phone but never used it because of the potential heat generation.

if there is a new technology for wireless charging that doesn't generate so much heat, it might be worth it but will anyone use it over the dash charge? it would have to be as quick.
