this phone surely has good hardware better than any other in its price range. the snapdragon 801 fueled with 3gb ram should enable the device to run any app flawlessly. but i've heard the gaming performance is quite bad in opx. in some of the youtube videos that i've watched, it seems the opx strives to run asphalt 8 smoothly on high settings. i also saw a bit of lag in subway surfers. why is it so? is it possible to fix this by any forthcoming update?

Not for hardcore gamers. Battery is an issue. But overall, it can handle any type of game :)

The phone/performance is currently unoptimised. Probably an issue with the CPU/GPU governor.

Potentially, after an update it will be a decent phone for gaming. The HTC One M8 is virtually identical (in terms of specs) and handles things smoothly - after optimisation the OPX should do the same.

Works decently for casual games..not so much for graphic intensive games..hopefully with the new update..it should be sorted out soon. :)
