Hello, I am fine. I will help you. All I can say is you cannot downgrade from Oreo to Nougat as both are inherently different and Oreo makes changes to the recovery and boot-loader which prevents a downgrade to exploit security flaws of previous versions. You need to wait for OP to release the official or beta version of Oreo and then you can install it. I hope you appreciate this.
There. Answered all your questions chronologically.

    indeed you answered

you will require a special zip which will allow you to roll back to Stable version as what is available for 3/3T right now, since open beta project for OnePlus 5 is yet to announce it is not possible at all.

and I would like to suggest you to not flash any thing / any rom at all which will not help ( since kernel modules are always upgraded as part of whole system version changes) or you may face boot loop.

    Backup data
    Unlock Bootloader
    Flash TWRP
    Wipe everything
    Flash latest firmware + radio
    Flash latest OOS
    Flash stock recovery
    Reboot

you can't even on 3/3T it is clearly mentioned in open beta thread that to revert back to the Nougat you need to have the special zip build to override the (new kernel module, bootloader and recovery ) new changes.

it's not like you flash custom rom using the twrp of any Android version and you can flash any another after that...
even with custom recovery it will be most likely a boot loop

I am against that as there is a good chance you'll brick your phone. If your phone is working just fine, wait until OnePlus releases Oreo beta/official version. If it is not working fine, look for alternatives like this:
    https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/development/rom-liquid-remix-t3703122
This seems to be stable from the comments in the thread. Use this temporarily if you're facing issues with the unofficial version.

You never know what can be messed with the unofficial Oreo. so just to be on safer side so that OP doesn't come back with another issue

well, someone, in the main thread of the leaked oreo, was successful...

i Know about the open beta, cuz I use it on my op3

it's very disgusting to see these twits install stuff which isnt recommended, and then come back to forum for help

You wipe everything out with TWRP, flash it one by one to get back on stable OOS. Might be the best one can do to revert back.

Let them learn not to mess with things or let them earn some experience which actually helps. We all were there once.

You need to unlock bootloader and install TWRP recovery to downgrade. Then flash back stock recovery (if needed) and relock the bootloader (don't forget to wipe).

I didn't flash the special build to get back on to Nougat on my 3T. I did what I said and was successful.

P.S: I do not suggest what I have not tried. But its a different device so I'm not giving out statements that it will work for sure.
