Hey folks! Been searching through the forum and saw a couple of people asking for aptX support.

Not sure if this has been shared before, but here you go:

    1) Download this file to your phone: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862706442

    2) Flash using TWRP

    3) Enjoy some Hi-Fi music.

This doesn't require ROOT to work, it simply installs the necessary drivers for aptX encoding.

In case you want to check if it worked, download CatLog from the Play Store (requires ROOT), and when you connect your aptX enabled headset, a log should appear with aptX listed as enabled.

    Have fun!

yes, download the appropriate TWRP .img file to your computer, connect your device in Fastboot mode, and use the "fastboot boot" command to load TWRP. Then download the aptX zip file to your PC as well, and sideload it to your device.

After rebooting, your device goes back to stock recovery.

If you need more detailed instructions on this, just Google "fastboot boot TWRP". You should find a whole lot of guides.

I recently bought a wireless earphones with aptX technology. Sounds great by default when used with op3t. Will installing this provide additional enhancement? Thank you.

    It will.
But it won't effect anything if the you listen low quality music.

If your source is 320kbps or above, the difference is huge. Trust me, Bluetooth without aptX is rubbish.

cuz my OP3 has never had it's bootloader unlocked / rooted? as stated in the pinned post about rooting the OP3, the 1st step involves unlocking bootloader and it should wipe all of your phone's data

unfortunately it doesn't (at least, for me no) :(
i suspect that something has been changed with the new firmware.
i see a trace of aptxhd on the system, but when i pair my headphones it keep select SBC codec

this zip does not include aptXhd drivers. only regular aptX. Have you flashed any other aptX zips before? there might be a conflict between older drivers on your device. This is working fine on my OP3, and I'm on the latest Beta (7.1.1).

Aptx and aptxHD are two different things? If (as i assume) aptxHD is gonna be better, where can we get those drivers for op3t?

Hey, am still on stock ROM nd recovery, locked bootloader too. By unlocking and using "Fastboot flash boot twrp.img" , I can boot into twrp temporarily and flash aptx ... But while booting into Twrp, it asks *Swipe right to allow system modifications* ... Should I enable that. Because enabling that would trigger 'dm verity' and v need to flash another zip for it to prevent bootloop. So what should I do ?

Yes i have used the driver from xda, but before installing this one i have deleted all related content.
I will give it a try dirty/clean flashing again.

From what i read this issue is present on official 7.1.1 but not on latest beta 12 (with their driver, i don't know this one).
