    Need help for OTA
Hi guys, Booted with twrp and rooted. Retained stock recovery. Today got an OTA of 17MB. First unrooted and then updated. But the update failed in stock recovery. Is there any method to update OTA. I am sharing the OTA file here.

If you followed the post i mentioned, you have to take a backup before root, so restore that backup and then flash the OTA, should work even with twrp.

No.. it should not effect the warranty however there is no such official announcement for the X

So is it only 2.8.7.0? And what about the language? I am guessing the OP has been updated with English version right?

Can we root the device without unlocking the boot loader and installing CWM?

I do not use MHL or HDMI to connect mobile devices thus cant confirm that.

My device also behaved like that on doing a system reboot and i had to hard reboot, however it worked with flashing supersu and taking a nandroid, however the size is huge around 5GB

Try doing that as i do not use CWM and report back

First of all, thanks for posting this tutorial so fast! I want to install Xposed framework on my OPX just like I had on my OPO. I just don't know which xposed version I need..

Can we reflash the stock through ODIN, just like in other android ROMS?

Yea it booted once i hard reset. As a Nexus user so far I've been kinda used to everything being smooth and squeaky in terms of that process :p

PS. That SuperSU is chinese, any chance of eng version soon?

    All done here as well!
I have one question though. The first time I booted on recovery I got a message saying that I should choose whether to modify the system partition or not. I chose "read only" as I didn't remember doing something similar with the OPO a year back. Was this correct or not? If not, how can I change that now?
And one last thing: I tried to update Oxygen OTA but it failed. How can we update now?

SDK 22 ARM is the one you should be looking for

Yeah I know but the recovery is unofficial and that too Chinese unpacked so some glitches are expected, still does the job

SuperSU link was messed up I have updated with the latest beta on the OP

The OTA would not work if it detects root or any modification to the system partition, if u followed the post restore the system partition from the Nandroid taken before root and do the OTA else wait for the full zip.

well, so did mine and that's probly because you swapped their recovery with twrp. since i've been out of that biz for a while im waitin for possible solution. couldnt you just root without twrp? the only thing i really care for now is system wide dpi change and that can be achieved via build.prop edit, no twrp needed, am i rite?
