When I go to do the adb update, the cmd say "cannot read 'ota.zip'"... Sorry for my bad English

Me too had the same problem. Reinstall the USB drivers. If its not working maybe the zip file is corrupted. Download another copy.

Glad this has been helping people out. I will be making a slight update soon(tm) to the guide to change up some wording and smooth out the process a little bit. Don't know exactly when that's going to happen, so just keep your eyes on the OP.

I've seen this been an issue in this thread, but I still cannot find a solution. I keep getting the "cannot read <filename>" while side loading. I've re-downloaded the file multiple times, into different locations, different pc's and same problem. I've uninstalled and re installed drivers. I've tried using large file aware, which I didn't think would make a difference in my case but what the hell, gave it a shot. A little desperate now, frustrated, lol.

As for asking for help, I know there is only so much you can do without being at my desk, but has anyone thought of other suggestions/workarounds?

There are many reasons for this one: drivers not installed, permissions, adb incorrectly installed, the zip might be corrupt, opening command prompt without admin rights or something wrong with your process.

How about you flash the stock recovery via fastboot (command: fastboot flash recovery <recovery name>.img) and then perform a full wipe including data, and then try sideloading? Works for me as a last resort.
Note: You should have an unlocked bootloader.
And the usb drivers installed which appear when you connect your phone.

Figured it out. Full data wipe and reinstalled drivers again, seemed to do the trick. Thanks!
