This is no gimmick. This app ported from the Pixel takes advantage of the Snapdragon 821's Hexagon 680 ISP to enhance picture quality. Kudos to the developer who modified it to work on the 3T.

    Get it here: https://www.xda-developers.com/google-camera-hdr-ported/

Preliminary testing shows significant image improvement.

Let's start posting and comparing photos taken with the OnePlus Camera App vs. Google Camera with HDR+.

Google Camera app is worse in everything than the stock camera, it's obviously going to take worse pics. The interesting thing about this specific apk is the HDR+ feature that is only available in Google devices. It's much better than regular HDR. And as a bonus, it takes 1080p with OIS (stock cam records with EIS)

Tried it.Only problem is that you can't touch to focus while in hdr+ mode.It won't take any picture.Just let autofocus do it's work.I found that hdr+ images are have much less noice than stock camera images with auto mode or hdr mode

I don't have this issue on my OP3 running Beta 21 and so far I only heard of OP5 users having this issue.
