Third Party Software Do any smartwatches/fitness trackers work with the OP5 and 5T?

    arielleslie, Dec 27, 2017 :
My husband and I have the OP5 and 5T and have discovered that although the Fitbit Blaze worked with the OP3, it doesn't work with the 5 or 5T (you can't use any blutooth functionality and syncing works less than 1/100 times).

Does anyone have experience with smartwatches and/or fitness trackers that *do* work with the 5 and/or 5T? Does Garmin work?

While I don't have any of the fitness trackers, I do have the Huawei Watch 2 and the LG watch Urbane connected with the Android Wear app.

Any android compatible wearable should work. If not raise a bug report with OP.

They SHOULD, but some DON'T. Fitbit does NOT. I am looking for help finding one that someone can actually confirm works. I am not terribly interested in spending a few hundred dollars on a wearable (again) only to have it be useless while I hope that eventually someone fixes it.

Well a simple Google search shows OP devices not on FBs supported devices

    That is not remotely helpful.
I am aware of the fact that the OnePlus is not a supported device. We owned the fitbits before we switched to OnePlus phones, but regardless of how I ended up with useless smartwatches what I am trying to find is one that is known to work with my phone.

Probably still worth logging a bug with OP...particularly as FB worked on earlier models.

The only thing they say is "It looks like your device isn't listed as one of Fitbit's supported devices. Contact Fitbit support." Fitbit support says "We can only test devices on our supported devices list."

I have completely given up on Fitbit. The ONLY thing I am asking for here is STILL any information about devices that actually work.

I have no problem OP5 + amazfit pace smartwatch. btw my OP5 paired with everything I have as devices ( a lot but no fitbit)

fitbit is known to have pairing issues with many devices (do not work with some huawei), seems to be something weird with their BT requirements.

I have had excellent results with my Oneplus One and now my 5T using the Runtastic "Orbit" which looks kind of like a FB, and I think they are even on sale currently. Of course, I have been a customer of Runtastic for some time now and use their app and website to track and map my walking/hiking/mountain biking... I am not affiliated with them, just happy with their stuff for quite some time.

    Hope this helps.

I personally use a fitbit device with my OP5. (FitBit Charge 2) I have an occasional notification delay. But 99% of the time it works fine. (even if it's not officially supported.)
