With the more ambitious pricing and controversial design, I haven't seen the 5 talked about everywhere nearly as much as I have the 3 or 3T in the past. In your opinion, was the 5 a successful phone?

The OP5 was certainly a successful purchase for me, as I love the phone every time I use it. But I think the increased price and bad press over jelly scrolling did OnePlus a lot of harm.

Another area that is very concerning is OnePlus's tendancy to release hardware too frequently. OP3 owners were enraged at the OP3T, as OP5 owners will be if a OP5T comes along within a few months of launch. That's how you lose customers for life and get a reputation that stops people committing to your products.

aside from a few issues like no water water-resistance, no SD card and a smaller than desirable battery, I'd say it was successful.
