kind suggestion. Don't take anymore photos. don't transfer any pics. first of all download free trial software for photo recovery. go to google and search for 'free photo recovery software'. after installing it software will guide you with wizard. 70℅ pics will be recovered unless your stars are on proper position.

as suggested by others, most important thing for you to do is to stop using your phone for any "write" activity, like transferring files, taking pictures or videos, even avoid sms. Everytime new data is written, chances of getting deleted data back becomes increasingly difficult. so try all forms of data recovery options before beginning to use your phone normally.

First, All the software you people suggested work with root only. His phone is encrypted by default. If he tries to root now, he needs to unlock boot-loader which will wipe his internal storage and since it is encrypted, it will be a full wipe and anything recovered will be corrupted garbage. Learn to back-up. You can try all those options, but your chance of recovery is slim to none.

In case of laptops or PCs deleted pics are recoverable, why is it not the same for mobile devices ?

No idea. Probably because of the way 'storage' is organised and how files are recorded...

I tried different software such as Jihosoft on my laptop but when I connected my phone via cable and enabled USB debugging, my laptop failed to register my phone.
so I end up with nothing.
Also while trying to recover by installing app from play store, each app asking for rooting the device.
    Is it necessary??

I don't know if something is possible FROM PC, I've never tried it.
Now, if there is no way to 'reconstruct' the files organisation (FAT?), then you won't be able to recover any file.
But, as said, I've never tried nor done that...
Adding/removing applications on your phone doesn't sound 'safe' to me...

just a remark: all noted cloud solutions will put your private pictures online abd reachable by the cloud providers, which will analyze your pictures.
use a local backup/copy solution on your private of, so no one beside you will see your pictures. except you want them to be published.
I do not want google, apple, Amazon,... look on my picture at all.
